"God save us!"

After the election last night had ended Facebook blew up.  Half, just like the election, were celebrating while the other half was complaining.  The most common post I ran across started with "God save us!"  Come on people, really?!  I've stated before that I'm not religious but doesn't mean I don't respect it.

Do you really think, being a faithful person, that God plays no part on who makes it into the Presidency?  Of course I pointed this out and most responses I got was God is testing us by allowing him to return to office.  Well from what I know of religion aren't you supposed to respect that decision if you believe?  Instead you get out right hate and anger because you didn't win.  This doesn't sound very Christian/Catholic/Jewish/etc.. to me.

What happened to seperation of church and state?  What happened to patriotism?  What happened to standing behind the peoples decision as respect to your country?  What happened to the American people?  What happened to helping each other instead of stepping on each other?

God doesn't need to save us from our President, he needs to just Save Us!
